Parhelion is an atmospheric optical phenomenon caused by the refraction of light
through ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere. In the upper print, this
luminous event appears above a severed trunk, symbol of an interrupted cycle, but
also of transformation. The images below, surrounded by stones, show a
human face and a moth, both crossed by a flame, recalling the bond
between body, light and combustion. The installation plays with spatial perception and
material, suggesting a tension between dissolution and permanence, between the fire that consumes and the
light that reveals.
